A lying moonbat

A conspiracy, Bush is lying video, has been posted on YouTube. In it Mike McIntee claims that the White House doctored video of Bush's "Mission Accomplished" speech. This has been show to be false and Michelle Malkin covers it here.

It's one thing to be so paranoid as to make a mistake, quite another to be too lazy to check how the other videos look on the White House website before drawing your conclusion.

Another video showing that Mike McIntee is lying is also now at YouTube and addresses this very matter.

Please take the time to visit that video and leave a supporting comment. Just click on the video and you should be taken to its location on YouTube.

This is what posted as a comment on YouTube at McIntee's video.

It's already been shown that this is incredibly inaccurate. The black bar can be seen in all the videos on the White House website and is merely blocking out the newsfeed logo. Just look at the "Mike McIntee Is Lying" video or go to the website and look at other videos yourself.

I wonder how long before my comments are deleted?

But as noted in the McIntee is lying video, it will no doubt be deleted or not even approved to begin with. While stupidity and/or laziness would have been sufficient to explain the original mistake, preventing comments that reveal the error is certainly not the action of someone who cares to present truth.

A bit of inspiration via bass line and electric guitar

If you like progressive/heavy metal:

 Best I Can

A child alone in daddy's room
The gun was hidden here
No one home to catch me when I fall
A young man now in a private chair
I've seen the world through a bitter stare
But my dream is still alive
I'm going to be the best I can

I want to be a busy man
I want to see a change in the future
I'm gonna make the best of what I have
I want to write for a magazine
I'm gonna be the best they've ever seen
I know I'll win if I give it all I can

I won't let go, gotta make the grade
No, I won't let it go
To be the best man, the best man that I can

Back street hoop star you've got it good
You were the wonder of the crumbling neighborhood
Now taking bids on the next six digit plan
Showed me that my will survived
The tragedy that came into my life
giving me hope and the new start
that I have

I won't let go, gotta make the grade
No, I won't let it go
To be the best man, the best man that I can

Step by step I dream the plan
From my chair to walking man
This constant dream is on my mind
Chase the light I see ahead
Luminate the path I tread
I live to be the best I can

Now I'm moving forward
And I'm never looking back
Straight ahead, focused on the big attack
On a roll and I'm never slowing down
I won't be torn between
The man in the chair
And the man that's in my dream
I'm going to melt the two men into one

I won't let go, gotta make the grade I set
No, I won't let it go
To be the best man,
the best man that I can

This 2006 election...

It has been said that a people get the government they deserve. Unfortunately, what Americans may have earned, through sheer laziness and what amounts to temper tantrums aimed at the GOP, masquerading as votes by some, could have far reaching and deadly consequences for many in Iraq and the War on Terror. Those who say Iraq is Vietnam, and mean that as an argument to leave, have learned the exact wrong lessons from history.

People who are easily swayed by a biased and dishonest press and react to emotional commercials, or are swayed because a candidate has a handicap and therefore cannot be criticized, while also ignoring history and a good economy, offer more evidence against the notion of direct Democracy, which tends to mob rule. Being so enamored of technology, as a crutch for those too lazy to think about how to color in circles or punch a hole properly, is another data point to consider, when some promote direct voting using gee whiz technology. It shouldn't have to be mentioned how such would be affected by the ability of hackers to cause mischief nearly at will, at least for a short time.

But perhaps the GOP will maintain control of the Senate and only lose the House by a narrow margin. Maybe this will encourage the GOP to grow a set of balls and filibuster the idiocy that someone like Pelosi will try to enact. It could be that President Bush will take off the gloves and start smacking them upside the head with much deserved vetoes.

Whatever the outcome may be when all is finally counted, lawsuits resolved, and the crying and wailing from all sides, recriminations and shaking fists at the opposition have diminished, there is still 2008 to think about.

I saw this from a poster on Lucianne.com tonight:

A Democrat is saying this

From one of my favorite authors comes a long editorial on the eve of this election. (Thanks to Lucianne.com)

The Only Issue This Election Day

There is only one issue in this election that will matter five or ten years from now, and that's the War on Terror.

[...]

If control of the House passes into Democratic hands, there are enough withdraw-on-a-timetable Democrats in positions of prominence that it will not only seem to be a victory for our enemies, it will be one.

[...]

I say this as a Democrat, ... And since the Democratic Party seems hellbent on losing it -- and in the most damaging possible way -- I have no choice but to advocate that my party be kept from getting its hands on the reins of national power...

Be sure to read it all and vote!
