Miscellaneous meanderings and philosophical ramblings. The title from a spiral notebook I used to jot down my thoughts on religion and other matters some years ago. I like to write, think and express my views on various issues. Robust discussion is welcome.

WhoRu2...?

Who are you to...say, believe, do etc. that?

How many times do we hear this phrase, and similar, while discussing or debating some contentious issue?

The equivalent of saying - what does the color pink smell like? The very nature of such questions, especially when applied in rhetorical fashion, are unanswerable. Using such a query in debates is merely a cheap tactic to shut down discussion. A dodge used when some disagree but do not have the ability or the will to offer a good argument in response. Heaven forbid, that one should actually consider that their position is in error.

Though it may go over the heads of some, I think I may begin to reply, initially, in similar fashion.
